Hi. I am a writer living in South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula. I also have a day job as a social researcher; I have worked in a range of settings including justice, community services and public health. I love research but I also love writing stories! I’ve completed courses and workshops at the Australian Writer’s Centre, Writers SA (where I am a member) and with local community groups. I’ve completed a novel for adults and a picture book for young children, both of which I’m seeking publication for at the moment. Currently I’m working on a second children’s picture book and another novel for adults.
Sometimes I write short stories for competitions or for fun, and I’ve included some of those here. I’ll keep adding them as I write them so please check back if you like the few here already.
I read a lot of different authors. Some of my favourites are Maggie O’Farrell, Tim Winton, Anne Tyler, Nick Hornby, Sebastian Faulks and Rohinton Mistry. Recently I loved Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton and I Am, I Am, I Am by Maggie O’Farrell.
I live in a small, seaside town with my husband, two sons, our cat and two chickens. I’d love to hear from you if you’ve connected with any of the writing here, if you’re also am emerging writer who’d like to workshop or share drafts, or if you’re an agent or publisher who is interested in my writing.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my website!
